Mr. Cobb is the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Brandywine Group Advisors.
Mr. Cobb was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for The Church Pension Fund from 1999 to 2014. He oversaw an $11 billion defined benefit plan for the clergy of the Episcopal Church. He grew the Investment Staff from five to 28 and opened an office in Hong Kong. The Investment program included significant exposure to private investments and marketable alternatives. He retired from J.P. Morgan Investment Management as Vice Chairman in 1999 after 28 years with the firm. Prior to serving as Vice Chairman and regional head of the firm’s business in North America, Mr. Cobb was responsible for all equity activities worldwide. Prior to 1992, he was head of the Equity and Balanced Accounts Group in the U.S. Mr. Cobb joined Morgan’s Equity Research department as an analyst in 1971, becoming a portfolio manager in 1974 focusing on institutional clients.
Mr. Cobb is a past Chair of the Investment Committee of the Wenner-Gren Foundation; he was also Chair of the Investment Committee of the Ministers & Missionaries Board of the American Baptist Church. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Glenmede Mutual Funds. He is also a Director and Audit Committee member of The TCW Direct Lending LLC.
Mr. Cobb received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA® charterholder.
